Abstract

This report presents the results of an emission inventory of air pollutant sources in the St. Louis metropolitan area, based primarily on the rapid survey technique. The objectives of this study were to determine the total quantities of the various air pollutants emitted and to estimate the geographical variation in air pollutant emissions. The pollutants considered in the survey were sulfur oxides, particulates, carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, and oxides of nitrogen.
