| Abstract |
The Labeling Center for Excellence (LCE) within the Office of Pesticide Programs (OPP) developed this manual to serve as a training tool for new employees and as a source of direction for product team members who are responsible for performing label reviews. The first two chapters of this manual provide an overview concerning what is a pesticide and what constitutes a pesticide label and labeling. The third chapter discusses general label format and legibility requirements, identifies the major parts of the label and directs the user to the appropriate chapter which contains additional information. The remainder of the manual provides the reviewer with step-by-step instructions concerning the review of a pesticide label and any associated actions such as the Pesticide Registration Action Tracking System (PRATS) entries for label reviews and situations where the Confidential Statement of Formula (CSF) affects the label language. |
