Abstract
This report focuses on substitutes for solvent degreasing processes that eliminate the use of chlorinated organic solvents. The substitute technologies were (1) an aqueous wash system; (2) a no-clean technology; and (3) a hot water wash system. A national environmental impact evaluation was also performed to estimate the potential impacts on the nation's environment if entire industrial sectors were to implement the substitutes.
