Abstract
An intensified effort has occurred in the last 3 years to update the iron and steel industry particulate emission factors presented in AP-42 and to add, for the first time, fugitive source emission factors. It is the objective of this report to present the results of this data gathering and analysis effort. The report is divided into three major areas. First, background information will be presented related to the processes in the iron and steel industry along with a process flow chart. Second, all of the particulate source test data will be presented and summarized in chart form. Third, the methodology for selecting single source specific emission factors and the resulting particulate emission factors will be presented.
