Abstract |
This model state water monitoring program was developed by a panel of Federal and State professionals actively engaged in managing and operating monitoring programs. It is presented to others in monitoring and the field of water pollution control in order to: (1) Provide some basis to the States for building and operating water monitoring programs; (2) illustrate the various types of monitoring activities, their costs and their uses; and, (3) suggest to EPA Regions and States how they can best use monitoring resources in carrying out their responsibilities in pollution control and abatement. |
