Abstract |
The paper discusses a study of the structures of spray patterns, utilizing digital particle-imaging techniques and laser Doppler velocimetery. To provide sufficient data for reliable statistics, measurements included 5 types of aerosols and 120 to 240 replications for each set of parameters. An engineering model has been developed to predict the behavior of aerosol sprays. The experimental results and model can be used to optimize the design and to improve the efficacy of aerosol consumer products. |
