As a guideline for the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA), Subdivision M provides guidance on developing data on biochemical and microbial pest control agents to determine their fate in the environment and to evaluate potential adverse effects on humans and other nontarget organisms. These guidelines include further guidance on when data are required by 40 CFR Part 158, and contain the standards for conducting acceptable tests, guidance on evaluation and reporting of data, and examples of acceptable protocols. Subdivision M constitutes one volume of a twelve-part NTIS Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act guideline series.
