Abstract
The report presents results for a toxics water quality survey of the Lower Calcasieu River Estuary, Louisiana. The study was conducted June-July, 1988, and included toxicity testing of effluents, ambient water and sediments, and priority pollutant chemical analysis of ambient water and sediments. Ten industrial facilities and 35 water quality stations were sampled. This was a cooperative study between U.S. EPA and the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality and the U.S. Geological Survey to assess water quality impacts due to point source discharges.
