Abstract
The occluded baculoviruses from non-insect hosts are described and reviewed for morphology, morphogenesis, cytopathology, and composition. The two known baculoviruses from crustacea are Baculovirus penaei and Penaeus monodon the first exists worldwide and the second only in the Pacific. Both are viruses of shrimps or prawns and can cause lethal infections. The structure and morphogenesis of each virus is described, and the role of virus controlled events in cellular pathology is discussed.
