Abstract
The study investigates several approaches to the problem of the determination of NTA (nitrilotriacetic acid) in waste water. Techniques selected for the study include: gas chromatography; polarography; potentiometric titrimetry; and ion-selective electrode potentiometry. The studies were directed principally to the detection of residual levels in waste water. Consideration was given to the potential for development of monitoring techniques. A portion of this work was directed toward the problem of determination of NTA in detergent formulations by potentiometric titration.
