Abstract
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, through the Environmental Technology Verification Program, is working to accelerate the acceptance and use of innovative technologies that improve the way the United States manages its environmental problems. This document presents demonstration data, and verifies the performance of the Sentex Sentograph Plus II field-portable gas chromatograph. The demonstration was conducted at two geologically and climatologically different sites: U.S. Department of Energy's Savannah River Site, near Aiken South Carolina and McClellan Air Force Base, near Sacramento California. The demonstration offered adequate analytical and operational data with which to evaluate their performance of the Scentograph Plus II gas chromatograph. The Scentograph Plus II costs about $35,000 for a single-column configuration, and can be operated by a field technician with minimal training gas chromatography.
