Abstract |
The principal purpose of the guidelines is to help those engaged in urban construction to prevent the uncontrolled movement of soil and the subsequent damage it causes. A comprehensive approach to the problem of erosion and sediment control provides: A description of how a preliminary site evaluation determines what potential sediment and erosion control problems exist at a site being considered for development, Guidance for the planning of an effective sediment and erosion control plan, and Procedures for the implementation of that plan during operations. Technical information on 42 sediment and erosion control products, practices, and techniques is contained in four appendices. (Author) |
