Abstract |
The ERAMS program is composed of a network of sampling stations throughout the United States plus an associated radioanalystical and assessment support group. These components provide a capability to evaluate environmental consequences from both normal ambient concentrations of radiation and time dependent changes as measured by the samples. The program is structured to measure concentrations of radionuclides in air, milk, surface water, and drinking water and to estimate dose and health impact. Several examples of short-term and long-term assessments of dose and health effect calculations from the ERAMS data base have been presented in this report. |
