| Abstract |
This report is a translation of a document prepared in 1977 for the French Ministry of Health and the French Ministry for the Quality of Life-Environment on the measurement and assessment of airborne asbestos levels in buildings throughout Paris. The methods of air sampling and transmission electron microscopic analysis, as well as a discussion of the results, are presented. Also included are extensive tables and figures summarizing the data collected. The study was completed in 1977, by the Laboratoire d'Etude des Particules Inhalees (Prefecture de Paris) and the Institut de Recherches Universitaires Sur l'Environment (Universite' Paris-Val de Marne). Mr. Patrick Sebestien (Prefecture de Paris) provided this revised update of the study in July 1980. |
