Summarizes Volume IV of the 4 volumes of proceedings of the Third Symposium on the Transfer and Utilization of Particulate Control Technology held in Orland, FL., March 9-12, 1981. Vol. IV papers discuss a wide variety of applications of particulate control devices and techniques: dry scrubbers, cyclones, electrostatic precipitators (ESPs) and venturis for collecting particulates under high pressure and high temperature; fugitive emissions; and opacity modeling, plume sampling, and flyash light absorption. Volumes I, II, and III are described in three separate summaries.
