Abstract
Data presented in this report were collected during the fifth year of a research program designed to assess ambient toxicity of living resource habitats in Chesapeake Bay. The goals of this study were to identify toxic ambient areas in the Chesapeake Bay watershed by using a battery of standardized, directly modified, or recently developed water column and sediment toxicity tests. The toxicity of ambient estuarine water and sediment was evaluated during the fall of 1995 at eight stations in following areas: Pamunkey River (two stations), York River (two stations), James River (two stations), Willoughby Bay (one station) and Lynnhaven River (one station).
