Abstract |
Data presented in this report were collected during the eighth year of a research program designed to assess ambient toxicity of living resource habitats in Chesapeake Bay. The goals of this study were to identify toxic ambient areas in the Chesapeake Bay watershed by using a battery of standardized water column and sediment toxicity tests concurrently with fish and benthic community assessments (index of biotic integrity approaches). The toxicity of ambient estuarine water and sediment was evaluated during the late summer/early fall of 1998 at ten stations in the following areas: Choptank River (four stations-CR59, CR61, CR62 and CR63) and Anacostia River (six stations-Ar1, AR2, AR3, AR4 AR5, and AR6). |
