Abstract |
The chapter addresses the physiological basis of differential plant sensitivity to pollutants. A generic model will be used to provide a conceptual framework for discussing differential plant sensitivity. After a brief description of the model, potential feedback control of physiological responses will be illustrated with examples from the literature. Plant responses to multiple pollutants, including the nonadditive nature of stress response is briefly addressed. |
