Abstract |
The authors describe an extraction method that yields restrictable 20-25 kb DNA from one gram of soil. Cells are lysed directly in the soil. The crude DNA extract is separated from contaminating humic compounds, concentrated, and purified by CsCl gradient centrifugation and the commercial product Geneclean. |
