Merrett, S. and K. Janda. 2005 (in review). Draft of “Waste=Fuel: Affordable Biodiesel for Healthy Communities” in preparation for the International Solar Energy Society 2005 Solar World Congress. This paper describes our system, compares our processor to conventional U.S. commercial biodiesel production, and provides a cost/benefit analysis of the energy use, costs, and fuel quality of our processor will be presented at the International Solar Energy Society’s Solar World Congress ( Orlando, FL; August 2005). This paper is currently being peer-reviewed for publication in Solar Energy Journal.

Working Group/Panel processor at Wesleyan College None Sam Merrett

In addition, P3 student team member Sam Merrett ( Oberlin College‘05) will lead a workshop about the processor at Wesleyan College ( Connecticut) on April 23 and another at Hampshire College ( Massachusetts) on April 25, 2005. These events are in addition to the weekly fuel production workshops in Oberlin Biodiesel Oberlin launched in February 2005.
