Abstract:
Unsaturated polyester bulk molding compound (BMC) composite bars formulated using recycled sheet molding compound were broken using a three-point bend test, sectioned, and analyzed microscopically at the fracture surface. We found that recyclate resin and new matrix interfaces create sites for cracks to originate and paths for them to propagate...The perspectives, information and conclusions conveyed in research project abstracts, progress reports, final reports, journal abstracts and journal publications convey the viewpoints of the principal investigator and may not represent the views and policies of ORD and EPA.
