Research Category: Academic Fellowships
Objective:
Test local water system for evidence of phenolics by comparing absorbance spectra to fluorescence. Determine if there are ways to separate phenolic compounds that are leaching from terrigenous material as compared to aquatic macrophytes. Testing includes water clarity, conductivity, temperature, salinity, and extractions of chlorophyll a for fluorescence measurements.
