Objective:
The objective of the Seminole County Watershed Atlas project is to provide the citizens of Seminole County and the Orlando Metropolitan area with unprecedented access to quality assured water resources data and educational information in an easily understandable format. Through the grant, the Atlas will have increased usage and improved and enhanced water resource information.
Progress Summary:
To date, we have executed and completed the necessary interlocal agreements and contracts, completed the design of the enhanced water quality and rainfall monitoring network, ordered and received the necessary equipment for the new near-real time water quality sensors, started curriculum design, prepared specifications for the near-real time enhancements to the Web site, made local and regional presentations, started programming upgrades to the software, and programmed data transport between Atlas WRAD database and STOrage and RETrieval (STORET).
Future Activities:
Future activities include installation and testing of real-time network for rainfall and water quality data, programming upgrades for Watershed Atlas, marketing of the Watershed Atlas, and completion of curriculum development.
