Description:
On-site disposal of Regulated Medical Waste can offer major economic and other benefits to health care providers. HCI emissions pose a considerable technical problem in the design of on-site units. A solid absorbent can offer significant advantages in cost and simplicity relative to the conventional wet scrubbing approach in HCI control. The proposed Phase I program will investigate the feasibility of four approaches to creating such an absorbent and will evaluate the performance of the resulting samples.Supplemental Keywords:
