Objective 1 is to restart monitoring shellfish for paralytic shellfish toxins (PST) bi-weekly and collect weekly phytoplankton samples. Objective 2 is to increase knowledge about harmful algal blooms (HABs) and biotoxins in Kodiak waters and provide data to residents on the harvesting of shellfish in the Kodiak region. Objective 3 will allow KANA to educate Tribal members about an adaptation practice— “Harvest and Hold.”
