Plasmachines had demonstrated a novel plasma ignition system on two operating stationary internal combustion engines fueled by natural gas and providing power to natural gas pipeline compressors. The new ignition system has demonstrated the capability to reduce NOx emissions from these engines from the levels of 10g/hp-hr to regulatory level at or near 2.0 g/hp-hr. While the potential for significant reduction of NOx emissions on a national basis exists in this market alone, other sizeable reductions in automotive applications are also possible.
