EPA began an assessment of the potential human health effects of halogenated platinum salts in order to address questions focused on the use of a platinum fuel additive in some clean diesel projects under the Diesel Emission Reduction Act.

|Mar 2009||EPA announced a public listening session for the draft review report.|
|Apr 2009||EPA announced an external peer review workshop for the draft review report to be held on May 21st in Washington, DC.|
|Jul 2009||EPA released the comments from the public comment period and external review workshop.|
|Apr 2013||EPA announced that the Agency no longer has a need for this assessment. Therefore, the January 2009 draft assessment has been archived.|
