On or about between May 10, 2019 and May 11, 2019, in the Columbus Division of the Middle District of Georgia, employees of High Performance Product Engineering (HPPE) negligently discharged a surfactant used as an ingredient in drilling fluid for gas exploration, a pollutant, onto the ground and into Bull Creek, a Water of the United States, without a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit. All in violation of 33 U.S.C. ยงยง 1311(a) & 1319(c)(1).

Sanket Ganhdi (former CEO) was sentenced to pay a $7,800 fine and suspended supervision. HPPE was sentenced to pay a $50,000 fine.
