In the spring of 2016, a homeowner purchased a property in Arvada, Colorado. On June 16, 2016, the homeowner hired Johnny Beach of Green Environmental to remove 6,218 square feet of popcorn ceiling texture. The project pricing included obtaining CDPHE required permits and also claimed to include CDPHE and OSHA compliant work methods. The total price for the asbestos removal project was estimated to be $10,000. Mr. Beach - acting as high managerial agent for Green Environmental - never obtained proper permitting and likewise never procedurally performed proper removal of asbestos at the Arvada house. Furthermore, Mr. Beach failed to comply with proper disposal or clearance procedures required under Regulation 8.

Johnny Beach and Green Environmental Consultants were sentenced after being found guilty by a jury in Jefferson County, Colorado. Beach was sentenced to serve 90 days of incarceration and pay $20,409 in restitution. Green Environmental Consultants was ordered to pay a $10,000 fine.
