On or about September 25, 2014, UNY, LLC, d/b/a/ General Super Plating Co., Inc., knowingly stored and disposed of hazardous waste without a permit. UNY, LLC stored and disposed of a water filter exhibiting excessive levels of chromium in a dumpster without a permit.

From on or about August 5, 2014, through on or about September 25, 2014, UNY, LLC, negligently violated a requirement of a pretreatment program. The defendant discharged wastewater containing excessive levels of chromium, copper, nickel, and zinc to the Metropolitan Syracuse Wastewater Treatment Plant, a publicly owned treatment works (POTW), in violation of an industrial wastewater discharge permit and in violation of federal and local pretreatment standards.



October 29, 2015
General Super Plating Co., Inc. was charged and pled guilty to violating 42 U.S.C.6928 (d)(2)(A) and 33 U.S.C.1319 (c)(1)(A).

General Super Plating Co., Inc. was ordered to pay $25,000 fine.
