Forecast Discussion: Wednesday, mostly cloudy skies will limit ozone formation in Louisiana, and light to moderate northeasterly winds will disperse pollutants. As a result, AQI levels will be Good in most cities. Thursday, increasing sunshine will enhance ozone formation in the southeastern portion of the state. However, light to moderate northeasterly winds will keep pollutants well dispersed, yielding continued Good AQI levels. Friday, lighter winds will reduce pollutant dispersion, and sunny, warm conditions will enhance ozone formation. Therefore, AQI levels will be Good to low-Moderate statewide.
