Notes | Emission factors were derived from bituminous coal data in the absence of lignite data assuming emissions are proportional to coal heating value. TNMOC are expressed as C2 to C16 alkane equivalents. Because of limited data, the effects of firing configuration on TNMOC emission factors could not be distinguished. As a result, all data were averaged collectively to develop a single average emission factor for pulverized coal, cyclones, spreaders, and overfeed stokers. Normal operating conditions; values 1 or 2 orders of magnitude higher can occur when combustion is not complete. |
