Description:

The US Environmental Protection Agency in cooperation with the State of New Jersey evaluated chemical filtration and distillation technologies designed to recycle automotive and heavy-duty engine coolants. These evaluations addressed the product quality, waste reduction and economic issues. In addition, we examined the potential for substituting propylene glycol for ethylene glycol based engine coolant formulations.
