Description:

The Environmental Technology Verification report discusses the technology and performance of the Synthetic Minipleat V-Cell, SMV-M14-2424 air filter for dust and bioaerosol filtration manufactured by Aeolus Corporation. The pressure drop across the filter was 104 Pa clean and 348 Pa dust loaded. The filtration efficiency when the filter was clean was 87% for Bacillus atrophaeus, 83% for Serratia marcescens, and 87% for bacteriophage MS2. The filtration efficiency when the filter was dust loaded was 99% for the three bioaerosols tested. The ASHRAE 52.2 dust filtration efficiency was 78% for particles between 0.3 and 1.0 micrometers, 95% for particles between 1.0 and 3.0 micrometers, and 100% for particles between 3.0 and 10 micrometers. The minimum efficiency reporting value was 14 at 0.93 cubic meters per sec.
