Description:

The Environmental Technology Verification report discusses the technology and performance of the PerfectPleat Ultra 175-102-863 air filter for dust and bioaerosol filtration manufactured by AAF International. The pressure drop across the filter was 112 Pa clean and 229 Pa dust loaded. The filtration efficiency when the filter was clean was 48% for Bacillus atrophaeus, 60% for Serratia marcescens, and 64% for bacteriophage MS2. The filtration efficiency when the filter was dust loaded was 88% for Bacillus atrophaeus, 91% for Serratia marcescens, and 98% for bacteriophage MS2. The ASHRAE 52.2 dust filtration efficiency was 13% for particles between 0.3 and 1.0 micrometers, 58% for particles between 1.0 and 3.0 micrometers, and 66% for particles between 3.0 and 10 micrometers. The minimum efficiency reporting value was 7 at 0.93 cubic meters per sec.
