Description:
The Environmental Technology Verification report discusses the technology and performance of the Synthetic Minipleat V-Cell, SMV-M13-2424 air filter for dust and bioaerosol filtration manufactured by Aeolus Corporation. The pressure drop across the filter was 77 Pa clean and 348 Pa dust loaded. The filtration efficiency when the filter was clean was 69% for Bacillus atrophaeus, 64% for Serratia marcescens, and 73% for bacteriophage MS2. The filtration efficiency when the filter was dust loaded was 99% for Bacillus atrophaeus, 99.5% for Serratia marcescens, and 99% for bacteriophage MS2. The ASHRAE 52.2 dust filtration efficiency was 57% for particles between 0.3 and 1.0 micrometers, 85% for particles between 1.0 and 3.0 micrometers, and 97% for particles between 3.0 and 10 micrometers. The minimum efficiency reporting value was 12 at 0.93 cubic meters per sec.
