Description:

A study directed by the Oklahoma Water Resources Board and funded by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation will investigate the hydrogeology of the Arbuckle-Simpson Aquifer in south-central Oklahoma. The five year study will involve field investigations including the installation of new, deep monitoring wells, as well as an evaluation of the geochemistry and water quality of the aquifer in order to better understand the dynamics of the system. The end result of the study will allow decision makers to better determine how to manage the Arbuckle-Simpson aquifer system.
