Description:
The TTSD of the USEPA's ORD/NRMRL has completed a series of technology transfer and risk communication handbooks, case studies, and summary reports for community-based environmental monitoring projects under EPA's Environmental Monitoring for Public Access and Community Tracking (EMPACT) Program. This CD ROM is a compilation of the products (in pdf and in some cases HTML format) developed under EMPACT. TTSD has prepared technology transfer handbooks for air quality; estuary, lake and river water quality; drinking/storm water; residential lead contamination; ultraviolet radiation; and bird migration monitoring projects. Handbooks have also been prepared that highlight environmental school curriculums and risk communication tools used as part of the EMPACT Program. Each technology transfer handbook provides case studies and contains suggestions and recommendations that can be used to design, employ and maintain comparable environmental monitoring, data management/delivery, and communication/outreach systems.
