Impact/Purpose:

The purpose of this project is to collect and disseminate basic data on chemical, physical, and biological effects of varying urban runoff water quality and other information pertaining to coastal water pollution and its prevention, reduction, and elimination.

Description:

This project involves conducting an extensive assessment of data needs and based on those findings, developing a monitoring plan to provide the needed data. From the monitoring plan that is developed, the grantee proposes to install operate, and maintain monitoring equipment at the selected water quality monitoring stations to obtain the optimum representatiopn of urban water quality data across the Mississippi Coastal Area.
