Impact/Purpose:
Potential users are various stakeholders in the Alabama coastal area. These include local, state and Federal agencies and organizations, particularly those involved with environmental assessment and management.
Description:
The project entails land use/land cover and classification of current LandSat 7 satellite imagery. The final products will include digital files for the classified imagery, an attributed vector polygon GIS coverage of classified areas in Arcview export and Arcview shapefile formats, various supporting GIS data (roads, streams, etc.), and a written report of findings and methodology in Adobe Acrobat format.
