Description:

The purpose of the document is to address the TRIBAL SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT CODE in Indian Country. This document is not a regulation and should not be used as such to establish a Tribal Authority and Inherent Sovereign Power to manage and regulate solid waste environmental codes on the reservation. The Tribe desires to manage and regulate the disposal of solid waste on the Reservation in order to protect the Tribal environment, its natural resources, and the health, welfare, political integrity, and economic security of the Tribe, its members, and residents living on the Reservation.
