Impact/Purpose:

The objective of this effort is to develop reference conditions for fish community assemblages in Indiana and Minnesota. The REMAP project is designed to compare the use of probability based sampling to targetted and intensive sampling designs.

Description:

This effort resulted in eight products, as follows: 1) Development of Index of Biotic Integrity Expectations for the Ecoregions of Indiana I. Central Corn Belt Plain; 2) Ibid. II. Huron-Erie Lake Plain; 3) Ibid III. Northern Indiana Till Plain; 4) Ibid .IV.Eastern Corn Belt Plain; 5) Development of Biological Criteria for Large Rivers with an Emphasis on an Assessment of the White River Drainage, Indiana; 6) Development of Index of Biotic Integrity Expectations for the Wabash River 7) Development of an Index of Biotic Integrity for the Ecoregions of Minnesota and North Dakota. Lake Agassiz Plain; 8) REMAP:Eastern Corn Belt Plain - products under development and as yet unnamed.
