The Model Validation Report will be used to summarize the activities conducted to validate the models used for evaluating fate and transport of PCB contamination in the Housatonic River and its flood plain.

Description:

The Model Validation Report will present a comparison of model validation runs to existing data for the model validation period. The validation period spans a twenty year time span to test the predictive capability of the model over a longer time period, similar to that which will be evaluated when assessing remedial alternatives, including natural attenuation of contaminants in the Housatonic River and its flood plain. The comparisons will also include alternative modeling approaches and other information such as aerial photography.
