Impact/Purpose:

If judged to be superior to any estimates submitted by individual states, EPA will incorporate these revised and improved inventories into the next-published version of the 1999 National Emissions Inventory, and will consider repeatint or extrapolating the analysis for the 2002 National Emissions Inventory. States will be able to use these estimates themselves and/or repeat the methods with modifications to incorporate more local information.

Description:

The product will be a set of estimates of county-level 1999 emissions of all relevant air pollutants from gasoline marketing and from the combustion of fuel by "area" sources, i.e., those too small be be required to report their emissions individually.
