Description:
This project develops emission factors, etc., for landfills, in particular for combustion devices fed by landfill gas, for incorporation into AP-42. AP-42 is a massive collection of information concerning processes which generate air emissions and presents emission factors and control effectiveness information. As resources permit and public interest dictates, sections are revised to reflect newer information or new sections are added for processes previously not addressed. For some processes, software models provided for estimating emissions are used because hand calculations with emission factors are not practical. Draft revisions are subjected to extensive external comment. The project also involves the creation and web publication of documents describing the technical basis for each new or revised emission factor.
