Product will be available for use by EPA, federal land management agencies (USDA, DOI), states, tribes, regional planning organizations and others to help identify and estimate the location, size, and air pollutant emissions of wild and prescribed fires in forest, scrub, and range lands.
Description:
The product will be a collection of information/data materials and/or operational data systems that provide organized data and estimates to identify the occurence of aggregated or individual fires, the material burned, and air pollutant emissions. An interim background document (http://www.wrapair.org/forums/fejf/documents/wildland_fire/follow-up.html), an international workshop , and a draft 2002 inventory are complete. A final 2002 inventory and continual methods improvements will be completed in CY 2006.
