Description:

All materials contain some levels of radioactivity, both natural and man-made. As detection devices installed at borders and ports become more sensitive, materials, which might otherwise be considered "clean", could therefore become suspect. The purpose of this activity is to provide technical assistance in the development of an understanding for acceptable levels of radioactivity for import "clearance" level methodologies.
