Description:
The National Enforcement Investigations Center (NEIC), Lakewood, Colorado is the technical center for expert support nationwide to state, local, tribal, and Federal environmental enforcement and compliance assurance programs through expertise in field compliance monitoring and engineering evaluations, forensic laboratory activities, information management, computer forensics, technical analysis, capacity building and courtroom testimony. NEIC scientists, engineers, analysts, computer specialists, and environmental specialists conduct a range of support primarily to complex, high profile investigations focused on the most significant and/or complex pollutant control/regulatory challenges. NEIC generates technical reports that summarize the results of investigations conducted to evaluate compliance with environmental laws and regulations. NEIC also generates technology transfer documents to disseminate scientific information acquired in applied research projects and during compliance investigations. NEIC develops and implements quality management documentation to provide consistency in carrying out its mission.
