Description:

Abstract

Cocaine binds into small beta, Greek-cyclodextrin, but not detectably into small alpha, Greek- or small gamma, Greek-cyclodextrin, in water solution. NMR studies indicate the geometry of the complex, which is confirmed by molecular mechanics calculations and binding studies on cocaine analogues and cyclodextrin dimers.
