IRIS Toxicological Review of Benzo[a]pyrene (Public Comment Draft)
In October 2013, EPA announced the availability of the draft IRIS Toxicological Review of Benzo[a]pyrene (Public Review Draft) for a 60-day public comment and review period. Update: In January 2014, EPA's Science Advisory Board (SAB) requested nominations of experts to augment the SAB Chemical Assessment Advisory Committee (CAAC) for the review of the EPA's IRIS Toxicological Review of Benzo[a]pyrene (BaP) (Public Comment Draft). Impact/Purpose:
EPA is undertaking an update of the Integrated Risk Information System (IRIS) health assessment for benzo[a]pyrene (BaP). The outcome of this project is an updated Toxicological Review and IRIS Summary for BaP that will be entered into the IRIS database.
Description:
EPA is developing an Integrated Risk Information System (IRIS) assessment of benzo[a]pyrene and has released the draft assessment for public comment and external peer review. When final, the assessment will appear on the IRIS database.
